Paul has been practicing
law in West-Central Ohio since his graduation from Ohio Northern
University and admission to the Ohio bar in 1985. He has extensive
experience as a trial lawyer in federal, state, and local courts and has
devoted many years to government services as the Mercer County
Prosecuting Attorney (1992-2000) and solicitor for several villages.
Paul sees
technology and the increasingly diverse needs of our society as dynamic
forces in the practice of law. He strives to practice in
accordance with the highest ethical standards while protecting the
rights of our clients to the fullest. A priority is to maintain
advanced computer technology, while devoting significant time and
resources to his continuing legal education. This philosophy
enables him to provide timely, quality legal services at a reasonable
fee.
He has a broad base of experience in several areas, but today he devotes
most of his practice to personal injury, wrongful death, auto accidents,
criminal defense, and similar matters requiring courtroom experience and
advocacy skills. He is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association
and the Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
Most of his practice serves people in times of crisis or difficulty,
especially those who have never had to confront the challenges of
dealing with our legal system. He also speaks Spanish and is able
to serve the Latino community. His experience and court room
skills help his clients navigate the maze of confusion and successfully
weather the storm in their lives.
Paul lives in Coldwater with his wife Joyce, who teaches Language Arts
at Coldwater Junior High. Their three grown children, Matt, Dean
and Paula all attend college. Paul has travelled extensively
throughout Latin America and is an avid golfer. He is also the
President of the Board of Directors of Foundations Behavioral Health
Services, Inc., and an active member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
