Attorney Biography - Practice Summary                                                4-24-09

Mr. Howell has been practicing law in West-Central Ohio since his graduation from Ohio Northern University and admission to the Ohio bar in 1985.  He has extensive experience as a trial lawyer in federal, state, and local courts and has devoted many years to government services as the county prosecuting attorney and solicitor for several villages.

Mr. Howell sees technology and the increasingly diverse needs of our society as dynamic forces in the practice of law.  He strives to practice in accordance with the highest ethical standards and fulfill his obligations to his clients and our legal system.  A priority is to maintain advanced computer technology, while devoting significant time and resources to his continuing legal education.  This philosophy enables him to provide timely, quality legal services at a reasonable fee.

His is considered a general practice, but most of his time is devoted to personal injury, wrongful death, auto accidents, criminal defense, wills, probate and similar matters requiring courtroom experience and advocacy skills.  He is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.  Most of his practice serves people in times of crisis or difficulty, especially those never having had to confront the challenges of dealing with our legal system.  He also speaks Spanish and is able to serve the Latino community.  His experience and court room skills help his clients navigate the maze of confusion and successfully weather the storm in their lives.
